    Sophie Turner is an English actress who first found fame starring in HBO's fantasy television series Game of Thrones (2011) as Sansa Stark. She is also known for playing in a Television series The Thirteen Tale’ as a role of ‘Young Adeline March’.

    Turner was born on February 21, 1996 to Sally, a nursery school teacher, and Andrew, pallet distribution company employee in Northampton, England, United Kingdom. She has two older brothers named Will Turner and James Turner. When she was two years old her family moved to Chesterton, Warwickshire. She attended the independent Warwick Prep School until she was eleven, and later attended the independent and fee-paying The King's High School for Girls.

    Turner has been a member of the theatre company Playbox Theatre Company since she was three years old.

    At the age of fifteen, Turner appeared in her first television role as the role of Sansa in Game of Thrones. Her drama teacher encouraged her to audition for the part, and she dyed her blonde hair auburn for the role. She had a tutor on the set of the series until the age of 16, sending homework back to her teachers at school.

    In 2012, she was nominated for the Young Artist Award for Best Performance in a TV Series - Supporting Young Actress for her performance as Sansa. To date, Turner has appeared in all six broadcast seasons.

    Since then, Turner has starred in the television film The Thirteenth Tale, made her debut in a feature film in Another Me, and starred in X-Men: Apocalypse in 2016. In February 2017, she announced that she would reprise her role as Jean Grey in the new film X-Men: Dark Phoenix, which will take place in the early '90s and follow the events of X-Men: Apocalypse, as a part of the X-Men franchise.

    Turner began dating singer/actor Joe Jonas in 2016 and they got engaged in October 2017.
