    Born: December 17, 1974 in Tampa, Florida, USA

    Sarah Paulson can currently be seen starring as Lana Winters in season two of Ryan Murphy's hit series, "American Horror Story." In its premiere season, Paulson appeared in a multi-episode arc on the much-heralded drama. Paulson received a 2012 Emmy Award Nomination, as well as her second Golden Globe® Nomination for her performance in HBO's acclaimed telefilm "Game Change." Other major television credits include her Golden Globe® nominated role in Aaron Sorkin's "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip," "Leap of Faith," "Deadwood," "Jack and Jill," and "American Gothic."

    In film, Paulson most recently completed production on director Steve McQueen's "Twelve Years a Slave," opposite Brad Pitt, Michael Fassbender and Paul Giamatti. Her other film credits include "Martha Marcy May Marlene," "The Spirit," "The Notorious Bettie Page;" "Down with Love," "What Women Wan," "The Other Sister" and "Diggers."

    Paulson returns to the stage in early 2013 with the Roundabout Theatre Company's new production of Lanford Wilson's Pulitzer Prize winning play Talley's Folly, directed by Michael Wilson. She most recently starred on Broadway in the two-hander "Collected Stories" opposite Linda Lavin and appeared in "The Glass Menagerie," alongside Jessica Lange. She also starred opposite Alfred Molina and Annette Bening in the critically acclaimed "Cherry Orchard" at the Mark Taper Forum. Her other stage credits include "Killer Joe," "Talking Pictures" and "The Gingerbread House."
