    Born: December 26, 1986 in Worcester, , United Kingdom

    Born in Worcester, England, Kit Harington studied drama and theater at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, a constituent of the University of London.  Before graduating in 2008, Harington won the lead role of Albert in the National Theatre’s London production of the smash hit War Horse. The production transferred to London’s West End at the New London Theatre.  He ended his run with the production in 2009 and subsequently appeared in Laura Wade’s Posh at the Royal Court Theatre in London. 

    Harington currently stars in HBO’s Primetime Emmy Award-winning drama Game of Thrones as Jon Snow, the bastard son of Eddard Stark, which will return for its fifth season in 2015.

    Harington has transitioned into the feature-film world with his first leading role as Milo, a slave turned gladiator, in Paul W.S. Anderson’s period disaster film Pompeii.  He also lent his voice to the animated film How to Train Your Dragon 2, which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival.

    His upcoming feature-film projects include the World War I drama Testament of Youth.  Additionally, Harington recently wrapped production on the HBO sports mockumentary 7 Days in Hell, in which he co-stars with Andy Samberg as fierce tennis rivals in an epic, seven-day match at the 2004 Wimbledon championships.
