    Born: August 28, 1986 in Los Angeles, California, USA

    ARMIE HAMMER has emerged as one of Hollywood’s most talented young actors. Hammer’s portrayal of Clyde Tolson in Clint Eastwood’s J. Edgar Hoover biopic, “J. Edgar,” garnered Hammer a 2012 SAG® nomination for Best Supporting Actor. Hammer starred in the film opposite Leonardo DiCaprio from a script by “Milk” Oscar® winner Dustin Lance Black. “J. Edgar” was also honored as one of AFI’s Movies of the Year for 2011.

    His performance as the Winklevoss twins in the award-winning film “The Social Network” garnered him critical praise and positioned him as one of Hollywood’s breakouts of 2010. Hammer was nominated Most Promising Performer by the Chicago Film Critics Association and awarded Best Supporting Actor by the Toronto Film Critics Association. The film received a SAG® nomination for Oustanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture, as well as a Golden Globe® for Best Motion Picture - Drama. “The Social Network” was also recognized as Best Film by the Los Angeles Film Critics Association, the New York Film Critics Circle, Broadcast Film Critics Association and the National Board of Review, and was named one of the American Film Institute’s Top 10 Movies of the Year. Hammer’s other credits include “Mirror Mirror,” directed by Tarsem Singh, where he played Prince Alcott and starred opposite Julia Roberts and Lily Collins.

    Hammer currently resides in Los Angeles.
